On Friday 3rd January, Yael Kahn was arrested in Swiss Cottage at a picket against Israel’s Ambassador. She didn’t even know what she was arrested for!
Born and raised in Israel, with parents who survived the holocaust, Yael is a passionate supporter of Palestinian rights and often compares the treatment of Palestinians in Gaza with the treatment of Jews in Nazi-occupied countries.
During her detention in Holborn Police Station, she refused food, sleep and stayed silent.
