Craig Murray, former UK ambassador and long-time civil rights campaigner, explains the high-stakes Judicial Review that could overturn the government’s proscription of Palestine Action.

He outlines the legal arguments now before the High Court, including failures in the consultation process and major human rights concerns.

Murray also sets out how the ruling could affect hundreds of criminal cases. As he puts it: ‘If the judicial review is won next week, then those prescriptions will fall… they wouldn’t be able to go ahead with those prosecutions.’

However, he also warns that the state may attempt procedural manoeuvres to manipulate the outcome.
