In November 2023, Aisha Jung was arrested in London for holding an anti-Israel placard at a pro-Palestine protest.

In December, the Metropolitan Police was forced to pay £7,500 in damages – admitting the arrest should not have happened.

In this interview, Aisha describes what happened, the impact it had on her children, how she was detained unnecessarily until 4am and why she decided to hold the police to account.

She also speaks about a forthcoming initiative from ‘Riverway to the Sea’ to host a webinar supporting pro-Palestinian protesters, focusing on legal strategies for addressing wrongful arrests and police abuse.
